I PMSVANDHI PRAISE AWARDS 2023-241:

a: Sikkim was awarded the second prize in the category of Best Performing States
in the implementation of PM Street Vendor’s Atma Nirbhar Nidhi (PM-
SVANIDHI) Scheme among the Hilly and North Eastern States for the year 2023-
24, during the event organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs
(MOHUA) in New Delhi on 18 th July, 2024 in New Delhi.

b : The Award was handed over to Shri M.T. Sherpa, IAS, Secretary, Urban
Development Department, Government of Sikkim and the team by Shri Manohar
Lall, Hon’ble Union Minister for Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government
of India.

II a. STRATEGIC URBAN VISION DOCUMENT: SK UD 2047 for Sunaulo and Samridh
Sikkim released on 15 th August 2024.

c. Strategic Urban Vision Document - SK UD 2047 for Sunaulo and Samridh Sikkim
is to lay out a blueprint for the approach in promotion, upgradationand
management of urban centres and its influence zone in the state for the
perceived “Amrit Kaal” - next 25 years in line with Viksit Bharat 2047.

a. E-Office implementation
b. The digitization of file movement in the Government Offices. The Urban
Development Department has implemented the e-office system in the office
recently through which various office files now can be processed online within
the office as well as with other departments who have implement the e-office in
their offices. This also made movements of office files very efficient in various
aspects and maintains transparency and accessibility better, which will
ultimately make public services more reliable and productive.
