Launch of Gwala App(Digital Initiative of Sikkim Milk Union)

Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India organized a conclave for North East Region on 23^rd and 24^th January,2025 at Shillong. Hon’ble Minister of  Animal Husbandry and Panchayati Raj Shri. Rajiv Ranjan Singh grace the conclave as Chief Guest along with Hon’ble Minister of State and State Hon’ble Ministers for Animal Husbandry at Veterinary Services. The programme was attended by Secretary, DAHD, GOI and Secretaries of different North East States and MDs’ of Milk Unions. Sikkim Milk Union showcased various range of Dairy Products, Phosphate rich Organic Manure, Area specific Mineral Mixtures and most importantly Gwala App( A Digital Initiative of Sikkim Milk Union). The Gwala App was the highlight in the State Gwala Diwas on 1^st July,2024. The app was launched in line with Sikkim’s 50^th Statehood Anniversary .Technical Sessions on Dairy and Fodder was moderated by Addl. Secretary, DAHD, Ms. Varsha Joshi which was participated by Dr. Sharman Rai, PD cum Secretary AH&VS Department, Government of Sikkim as one of the panelists.
