On 27th March, 2025, the Niyukti Kendra Team, Skill Development Department (SDD), organized a Job cum Rojgar Mela at Khadi Bhawan, DCB, Deorali, Gangtok. The event was graced by Shri K.C. Rai, Deputy Director II, SDD, GoS.
The event saw the participation of 60 candidates (comprising 19 males and 41 females), who had the opportunity to connect with employers from a variety of prominent sectors, including Hospitality, Retail, and Pharmaceuticals. The mela provided a platform for both employers and candidates to interact and explore job opportunities.
As a result of the event, a total of 15 candidates were shortlisted, and 6 candidates were successfully selected for positions with participating employers.
The event concluded with a heartfelt message, urging both candidates and employers to continue supporting such initiatives in the future, as they play a vital role in enhancing employment opportunities and skill development for the community.
